Description
This photograph was taken on the property of an amazing private collection in south west North Carolina. Thanks to Debra & Dave Vanderlaan's friendship with the owner, our group was very fortunate to be able to see and photograph this wonderful collection that is not open to the public.
The owners have created a small town complete with garages, a mill, a fire station, general store, pharmacy, hotel, tool shed, and more - all stocked with antique cars, tools, and many other artifacts of Americana from the early 20th century. I am assuming this is a printing press based on the letters and numbers seen in the left side of the image, but if you know otherwise, or have any further information, please let me know. And now I have more information thanks to Stephen Selby. It is indeed a letter press.

My career was in printing, which left me deeply in love with colors, paints and inks, and amazing equipment too. Sweet shot - yes, it's a letter press! Ben Franklin would be proud.
