Description
The annual National Western Stock Show that takes place in Denver, Colorado every January is kicked off by a parade. The parade always starts with the march of the Texas Longhorns. It begins at Union Station in lower downtown and proceeds straight up 17th Street through the heart of the city. This year (2019) 53,806 spectators lined the streets to watch the parade.
Established in 1906, the stock show hosts one of the world’s richest regular season professional rodeos, one of the country’s largest horse shows, and Colorado’s largest western trade show, attracting attendance numbers over 650,000 visitors each year.
