Description
This handsome elk was standing watch over his gang, fending off any advances from outsider bulls. Earlier, a half dozen of the cows were making their way away from the herd and toward the street, when he came down and herded them all back up to where the others were grazing. October is mating season for the elk and they can be heard near and throughout the town of Estes Park, Colorado.
