Description
I was looking for the wild horses I knew existed around Saguaro Lake east of Phoenix, Arizona and found them long before I expected to see them. There was a large group of them gathered together quite a distance away from the lake, and not very close to the Salt River either. I guess they really get around.
I thought you might enjoy this desert landscape featuring a portion of the herd. This time the visit was in April and these beautiful yellow wildflowers, which I believe to be Helianthus augustifolius or Santa Fe Maximillians, were abundant everywhere I looked in the desert landscape. The saguaro cacti loom in the background.
