This serene scene is found at the Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in the Columbia River Gorge near Corbett, Oregon. I came to portland to visit my sister, and she took me to her church retreat at this amazing facility. I am always blown away by how green everything is in Oregon. Of course if we got this much rain in Colorado it would be a little greener here too.
I wonder how many people sat on this bench. Who were they? What were they all about? What was going on in their lives - were they happy, lonely, fulfilled, creative?
