Description
I spent my first night ever in Gillette, Wyoming last weekend and woke up to trees, bushes, and tall grasses that were covered in glistening frost and ice. It was such an amazing sight at my hotel that I decided to go find a park where I could capture some beautiful winter scenes. Dalbey Memorial Park five minutes away fit the bill to a T. I'm not much of a cold weather person myself, so I figured my portfolio was a little lacking in snow scenes. Here are a few to correct that shortcoming.
After leaving I drove to a friend's house where I found a plethora of wonderful things to photograph. This scene was taken just off her front porch, and this flock of geese was extremely accommodating to the shot.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
