This is Courthouse Butte red rock formation in Sedona, Arizona. A few years ago I took a hike around this rock and nearly dropped dead from heat stroke. I think I like it a little better from this distance. Although this visit took place in the winter, it was a perfect day in Sedona, bathed in sunshine and displaying bright blue skies.
The rock formations in Sedona are high on the list of most magnificent ones in the world. If you haven't been to Sedona you should put it high on your bucket list.
