This is the path that leads into and out of Turtletown Creek Falls. Turtletown Creek Falls is found by turning up Apalachia Tunnel Rd (NFSR 1166) in the Cherokee National Forest near Farner, TN. The hike is one mile each way and is rated as easy, though the steps down into the falls (and back out again) are a little tricky for some. It was like going back to my childhood in Virginia to walk through this many fallen leaves on a hike. Our Colorado trails have pine needles, pinecones, and an occasional aspen leaf - but nothing like this!
