While driving from Gillette, Wyoming to Deadwood, South Dakota we took a detour through Spearfish Canyon. What a fabulous detour it ended up being! There were several different waterfalls along Little Spearfish Creek near Savoy, SD in the Black Hills, and this one was the most magnificent of all. Named Roughlock Falls, it has several levels including the tall one in the background down to this large widening of the creek with the water coming from all directions. The moss on the rocks added a lot of color to this marvelous scene.
