Description
As one enters the South Dakota town of Rochford, a sign boasts a population of 8. Rochford is a T in the road with a general store/gas station and maybe a dozen buildings that we could see. It lies 22.4 miles south of Deadwood and 21.6 miles north of Hill City along highway 14 through the Black Hills. It was a lovely setting for a town and we enjoyed visiting with the friendly shop owner.
