Barlow Plaza, on Elkhorn Avenue in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado is an iconic go-to for great Italian food and a stroll along the Big Thompson River. This is Mama Rose's Italian Restaurant, which sits on the right side of the plaza, and Poppy's Pizza And Grill is on the left.
They share a common owner, who also provides an outdoor music venue right on the river. My singer/songwriter/ guitarist friend Laurie Dameron and I played there this summer to an intimate crowd who enjoyed views of the river along with the music.
