This is a scene from the western end of downtown Estes Park, Colorado just before the road heads up the hill towards Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a beautiful autumn day and after shopping and eating lunch downtown we headed to the park where we saw multitudes of elk. October is mating season in this area and the elk are heard bugling throughout the town.
