Description
I investigated this wonderful old building of Italian design, while driving through the town of Fairplay, in Park County Colorado. Built in 1874 as the county courthouse and jail, it now houses the Park County Office of Historical Preservation. This fascinating iron spiral staircase invited me to photograph it from several different angles. The setting sun provided this vivid shadow on the red sandstone walls.
