With the Ohio River running at its toes, Colorado State Highway 730 winds around and through this verdant valley. We were taking our young friend to her half-day horseback riding adventure, and around every turn in the road our eyes feasted upon perhaps the most gorgeous scenery I have ever witnessed. We will have to return next spring, when the Crested Bufte Wildflower Festival is in full bloom.
