On a sunny autumn day in Colorado we decided to take a drive up Mount Evans. We were only able to get as far as Summit Lake, as the road from there to the top was closed. It didn't make much sense to close it since there hadn't been any snow yet, but it was closed nonetheless. On the way up we took a little detour down West Chicago Creek road, where we found this lovely scene along Chicago Creek. I had been told the aspen trees were done for the season - it's a good thing I didn't listen!
